Derek Carr Joins UCLA as Special Advisor to Bob Chesney

Carr is returning to football as a "special advisor" to UCLA coach Chesney, helping with game-planning and QB development. Carr has no ties to UCLA but knows GM Darrick Yray from Fresno State. "The opportunity to help Chesney, the staff and the QBs at UCLA was one that really excited me," Carr said. The Saints still hold his NFL rights if he considers a playing return.
