Derrick White Is Closing in on a Rare 100-Block Season for Small Guards

White enters Boston’s final three games with 98 blocks, putting him two away from becoming the second player 6-foot-5 or shorter to reach 100 in a season since blocks became official in 1973-74. ESPN noted Dwyane Wade holds the record at 106. If White gets there, he’d also become the only player ever with 200 made 3-pointers and 100 blocks.
