Despite Kevin Smith’s Exit, Kewan Lacy Remains in Oxford

Kewan Lacy is staying at Ole Miss as Pete Golding goes into retention mode. The standout sophomore running back remains in Oxford despite running backs coach Kevin Smith leaving for LSU. A transfer from Missouri, Lacy rushed for about 1,464 yards and 23 touchdowns in 2025, playing a major role in Ole Miss’ playoff run and carrying that production into early 2026.
