After Brooks picked up his 14th technical in Phoenix’s win over Brooklyn, Booker backed him and hinted that the whistle is reputation-driven. “I think he’ll tighten up,” Booker said, “but … he shouldn’t be getting them.” Booker added he’s heard “a lot worse” said to refs and called it “a reputation thing” the league must “figure out.”
