Diego Lopes Downplays Revenge Narrative in Alexander Volkanovski Rematch
“I only want to take the belt,” Lopes said ahead of UFC 325. “It’s like beat Volk or whoever the guy is that holds the belt.” Volkanovski beat Lopes by unanimous decision at UFC 314 (48-47, 49-46, 49-46) to reclaim the vacant featherweight title after Topuria. Now they run it back at UFC 325, with Volkanovski defending and Lopes chasing gold, not payback.
