Disney Says It Has Not Started NFL Rights Renewal Talks
Disney CFO Hugh Johnston said the company has not yet begun negotiations with the NFL on a rights renewal, despite other media partners already holding discussions. Johnston emphasized Disney’s strong relationship with the league following ESPN’s acquisition of NFL Network and RedZone, while adding the company expects to remain in business with the NFL “for years to come.”
