Doctor Sheds More Light on Jaren Jackson Jr.'s PVNS Diagnosis
Jackson was diagnosed with Pigmented Villonodular Synovitis, now called Tenosynovial Giant Cell Tumor, Dr. Jesse Morse explained. PVNS is a benign but locally aggressive proliferative disorder of the synovium that most commonly affects the knee in 75% of cases. The condition typically occurs in adults ages 20-50, making the 26-year-old Grizzlies star fit the profile perfectly, Morse noted.
