Don Mattingly Leaving Blue Jays Bench, Seeking New Opportunity

Per Jon Heyman, Mattingly will not return as the Blue Jays' bench coach in 2026, after three seasons; he’s pursuing other roles. The 64-year-old previously managed the Dodgers and Marlins, winning the 2020 NL Manager of the Year and posting an 889–950 record. As a player, the Yankees legend captured the 1985 AL MVP and six All-Star selections.
