Draymond Green’s Good-Faith Opt-Out Became a One-Year Prove-It Deal

Green declined his $27.7 million option as a “good faith measure” so Golden State could pursue LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Shams Charania reported. Had the Warriors landed LeBron, Green could have received roughly three years and $60 million. After both pursuits failed, he returned on the same one-year salary, creating what Charania called a “prove-it” season.
