Drew Pomeranz Elects Free Agency After Getting DFA’d by Cubs

Pomeranz, a World Series winner with the Red Sox (2018), is back on the open market. Initially signed as a free agent by the Angels, he pitched to a 5.01 ERA with a dismal 14.8% strikeout rate across 23 1/3 innings. For Chicago, he surrendered five runs on seven hits over 5 2/3 innings, striking out just one of 27 hitters.
