Howard celebrated his Hall of Fame enshrinement by honoring defense. “I’ve been a warrior my whole life, and warriors go before… they’re the backbones,” he said. “I didn’t even see it as dirty work. I saw it as my work, my purpose.” He added proudly, “I’m glad I did an amazing job… now I protect basketball forever.”
