Dwight Howard Credits Stan Van Gundy for Hall of Fame Induction

Howard thanked former Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy during his HOF speech. “Because of you, I am in the Hall of Fame… there is no Dwight Howard without Stan Van Gundy.” He recalled playoff practices where even reserves got plays. Under Van Gundy, from 2007–2012, Howard won three Defensive Player of the Year awards and reached the Finals once.
