Elena Rybakina Thrashes Elise Mertens, Sails Into Aus Open QF

Rybakina beat Mertens 6-1, 6-3 to qualify for her first AO QF since 2023. On the back of 10 aces, the Kazakhstani allowed just one break point the whole match and has not dropped a single set this tournament. This is the first Grand Slam QF since Wimbledon 2024 for Rybakina, who lost in the 2023 Final here to Aryna Sabalenka.
