Emmanuel Clase Indictment Details Alleged Code-Word Plan to Fix Pitches

A federal indictment unsealed on Friday says Clase got a May 18, 2025, text: “Throw a rock at the first rooster in today’s fight.” Prosecutors allege he replied, “Yes, of course…,” then said he’d throw it “low,” using rooster/chicken as code for prop-bet pitches. They now cite 15 suspect pitches from 2023–25, including Oct. 5, 2024, ALDS Game 1.
