ESPN to Save $15 Million After Laying Off Cam Newton and Ryan Clark

ESPN’s latest round of layoffs, which affected Cam and Ryan, is expected to save $15-16 million annually as the network battles mounting financial pressure. The cuts follow a reported $100 million revenue loss tied to its YouTube TV carriage dispute and a sharp decline in cable subscribers. The savings also help offset ESPN’s $3 billion NFL media rights investment.
