Fact Check: Did Jerry Jones Announce He’s Stepping Down as Cowboys GM?
A Cowboys fan page on Facebook claimed that the 82-year-old is stepping down as Cowboys GM, with son Jerry Jr. to take over. The rumour, emerging from an unreliable site, spread quickly but is false. Last month, Jones himself shut it down, joking he can only step away “for seconds” before stressing his passion and intent to stay in charge.

The QB, who scored three-touchdowns in that fixture, shrugged: “Ain’t got nothing to say… He put it in great words.” LaFleur added, “Sorry, not sorry. That’s NFL. I’ve had my heart broken too, it comes with the territory.”
