FIFA Adds 360-Degree Ceremony for 2026 World Cup Matches

FIFA will replace the usual tunnel-and-anthem routine with a new “360-degree” pre-match ceremony at the 2026 World Cup. Players, substitutes and youth escorts will gather around a center-circle banner for anthems, with giant country flags, handheld flags and pitch branding around them. FIFA says the format will “engage every fan,” with smoke and pyrotechnics added later in the tournament.
