FIFA Weighs World Cup Ads During Hydration Breaks as Fox Plans New Access
According to the NY Times, Fox Sports said it is still talking with FIFA about how to use World Cup hydration breaks, after reports that ads could air during the three-minute stoppages. VP Zac Kenworthy said it may feel “jarring” for soccer fans, but Fox wants to balance new commercial space with better access, including half-time interviews.
