Florida Senate Passes Teddy Bridgewater Act

The Florida Senate passed Senate Bill 178, also known as the Teddy Bridgewater Act, on Thursday. Inspired by the former NFL quarterback's suspension for providing Uber rides and meals to his players, the law allows middle and high school coaches to spend up to $15,000 annually of their own funds to support student-athlete welfare. Reported "good faith" spending on food, transportation, and recovery services is now protected.
