Florida State Adds FAU’s Leading Rusher Gemari Sands via Transfer Portal

Florida State have added backfield depth by signing FAU transfer running back Gemari Sands, per On3. Sands led the Owls in 2025 with 465 rushing yards and totalled 582 yards across two seasons. A former three-star recruit from St. Thomas Aquinas, Sands becomes FSU’s 15th portal addition as HC Mike Norvell looks to jumpstart a rebound after back-to-back disappointing seasons.
