Born in Brockton in 1923, FootJoy became Ryder Cup gear by 1927 and Tour No.1 by 1945. Unlike rivals chasing trends, it refined classics, saddle shoes, StaSof gloves, DryJoys, without noise. “Nothing was ornamental. Nothing was extra,” wrote journalist Raymond Williams. From MyJoys to Aimé Leon Dore collabs, FootJoy remains golf’s icon, still leading the game a century later.
