Former 49ers Super Bowl Champion Chet Brooks Dies of Cancer

Former 49ers safety Terrance “Chet” Brooks has died after a battle with cancer at age 60, Texas A&M announced. Brooks won two Super Bowls with San Francisco, intercepting John Elway in Super Bowl XXIV. An All-American at Texas A&M, he earned All-Madden honors in 1989 and was inducted into multiple halls of fame.
