Former Commanders QB Taylor Heinicke Announces Retirement at 33

Heinicke has officially announced his retirement via social media after a seven-season NFL career. Over 42 appearances and 29 starts with five different teams—most notably the Washington Commanders—Heinicke threw for 6,663 yards, 39 touchdowns, and 28 interceptions. A dual-threat, he also added 586 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground, famously nearly toppling Tom Brady in a 2020 Wild Card thriller.
