Former Nebraska Coach Scott Frost Sues University Over Tax Liability

Frost sued Nebraska and its board of regents, claiming the school improperly created a $1.7M tax liability. The lawsuit says Nebraska included the present value of Frost’s 2025 and 2026 buyout payments on his 2022 W-2, despite the money not being paid. Frost argues the payments were guaranteed and couldn’t be reduced, even though the school said they could later be adjusted.
