Former NFL Tight End Charle Young Dies at 75
Young, the former All-Pro tight end who helped the 49ers capture their first Super Bowl title, has died at 75. A three-time Pro Bowl selection, he spent 13 seasons in the NFL and built a standout career with 418 catches, 5,106 receiving yards and 27 touchdowns in 187 games. The 49ers said Young’s wife informed the team of his passing. No cause of death was announced.
