Former Nuggets Coach Doug Moe Passes Away at 87

Moe, the longtime Nuggets coach, died Tuesday in San Antonio at 87, former player Bill Hanzlik said, with his wife Jane beside him. He led Denver from 1980-90, winning 432 games, making nine playoffs, and earning 1988 Coach of the Year. His free-flowing, no-play offense led the NBA in scoring six times. Moe finished with 628 career wins.
