Francisco Alvarez Set to Begin Rehab Assignment on Tuesday

Alvarez underwent surgery on May 14 for a torn meniscus in his right knee. While he is expected to return after mid-July, he has resumed baseball activities. The 24-year-old is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Syracuse when they host the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, for his opportunity to begin the next stage of his recovery.
