Francisco Lindor Evaluated For Hamate Injury, Surgery Could Mean Six-Week Absence

Mets president David Stearns said Lindor is being evaluated for a possible hamate bone injury. If surgery is needed, Stearns said the shortstop could miss about six weeks. Stearns told reporters, including ESPN’s Jorge Castillo, he’s still confident Lindor would be ready for Opening Day even with an operation, as the Mets monitor tests and make a decision soon.
