Freddy Peralta, Nick Kurtz Extensions Both Face Long Odds Before Season
Two notable MLB extension talks appear unlikely to cross the line before Opening Day. Peralta’s proposed Mets deal is considered “highly unlikely,” with the pitcher seeking seven to eight years while New York prefers four to five. Meanwhile, the Athletics reportedly offered Kurtz well north of $100 million, possibly around $130 million, but that extension is also a long shot.
