Muguruza will serve as Madrid Open co-tournament director alongside Feliciano López after directing the WTA Finals in Riyadh. The former world No. 1, who retired in April 2024, told Marca, “Very happy… it’s an honor,” calling Madrid “the only tournament we women have at home.” She made eight Madrid main draws as a player, with her best run the round of 16.
