George Pickens Extension Cost Rising After Jaxon Smith-Njigba Deal

According to Mike Florio, Pickens’ extension price continues to rise after the wide receiver market jumped to $42.15 million per year following Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s new deal. Pickens is set to earn $27.298 million on the franchise tag, with a July 15 deadline for a long-term contract. As more receivers approach or exceed $40 million annually, the cost to retain Pickens in Dallas is expected to climb further. The ball is in Jerry Jones’ court.
