Gerrit Cole to Throw One Inning vs Red Sox in Spring Tune-Up

Per Joel Sherman, Cole will throw one inning Wednesday against the Boston Red Sox as part of a controlled spring comeback for the New York Yankees. He went 8-5 with a 3.41 ERA and 99 strikeouts in 95.0 innings in 2024 and missed all of 2025 after Tommy John surgery in March. The outing is a measured rehab step forward.
