Alyssa Thomas tried to lead a comeback for the Mercury in the 3rd quarter as she dropped 19 points in total but the Valkyries pulled away. Kayla Thornton and Gabby Williams had 19 each while Janelle Salaün had 21 of her points. The Valks are 2-0 to start their season while Mercury is 1-1.
