Illinois Lawmakers Working on a Bill to Keep Chicago Bears in the State
State legislators are developing a bill to support a $5 billion domed stadium in suburban Arlington Heights. State Rep. Kam Buckner is pushing an amendment that would add property tax relief for homeowners to a long-discussed “megaprojects” bill. In February, a narrower version of the bill was cleared by an Illinois House committee but stalled due to political divisions.
