After Indiana’s National Championship win, teammate Mikail Kamara offered lofty praise for Mendoza. “No matter what team drafts him, they’re getting a future Hall of Famer,” the Hoosiers DL told TMZ Sports. He added, “We haven’t seen the best of Fernando Mendoza yet.” Mendoza is projected as the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft after winning the Heisman this season.
