Indianapolis Colts Decline Anthony Richardson’s Fifth-Year Option

Colts declined Richardson’s fifth-year option, which would have cost more than $22 million for 2027. The No. 4 overall pick in 2023 has dealt with injuries, including shoulder surgery and an eye issue that limited him in 2025. Richardson appeared in two games that season, completing one of two passes for nine yards while no longer holding the starting role.
