International Hot Rod Association Brings Memphis International Raceway Back to Life

IHRA completed its acquisition of the former Xfinity and Truck Series venue on Dec. 23, with plans of reopening the Millington landmark. IHRA CEO Darryl Cuttell called it “a special place in American motorsports,” intending to revitalize the facilities at the venue. Mayor Young said the move “honors the legacy” of the track while boosting tourism in the area.
