Iowa Man Pleads Guilty After Planting Explosive Devices at Des Moines Golf Course

Michael James Valento, 41, pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of possessing explosive devices and one felony count of firearm possession after detonating a pipe bomb and leaving another live device at Waveland Golf Course in July. Prosecutors agreed to drop arson charges, and Valento remains under supervision pending sentencing.
