Islam Makhachev Gifts Serbian President His Title Fight Gloves After UFC Milestone

UFC's #1-ranked pound-for-pound fighter (28-1) met Serbia’s president, Aleksandar Vučić, and presented him with the gloves from his Jack Della Maddalena fight. Makhachev became the first Muslim two-division UFC champion by dominantly defeating Della Maddalena via unanimous decision for the welterweight title in November 2025, adding 170-pound gold to his previous lightweight (155-lb) reign. Makhachev is originally from Dagestan, Russia.
