Ismaël Koné to Undergo Surgery After Double Fracture Ends World Cup

Koné’s World Cup is over after suffering a fractured fibula and tibia in Canada’s win over Qatar, Fabrizio Romano reported. He is in hospital with his mother Suzanne supporting him ahead of surgery and could miss four to five months. Madibo, whose foul caused the injury, reportedly went to Canada’s dressing room to apologize after the match.
