The Mets are hiring J.D. Martinez as a special adviser to baseball operations, adding one of the game’s most respected veteran hitters to the organization. Martinez finished his career with 1,741 hits, 331 home runs, 1,071 RBI and an .864 OPS, giving New York a seasoned voice who can help hitters, young players and clubhouse culture.

Pittsburgh Pirates Manager Don Kelly Thrown Out of the Game Against the Reds
With the Pirates leading 6-3 in the eighth, Kelly was upset over a check-swing he believed to be called incorrectly. He was then tossed after telling the umpire to "watch the game". Kelly then stepped onto the field and argued passionately with the umpire. The Pirates won the game 8-3.
