Asked if the Dodgers have a spending ceiling, Harris said, “In a world without a salary cap, not really,” pointing to Ohtani’s deal. Under Guggenheim, he cited big-market revenue, a TV deal, Ohtani at $2M yearly with deferrals and Forbes’ $200M revenue jump in 2024. The club reinvests, believing $400M payrolls—“into the 500s” with tax—are doable, making it “dangerous” again.
