Nationals' Jacob Young Exits Mets Game After Taking 93 Mph Fastball to Ribs
In the second inning, Mets pitcher Christian Scott hurled a fastball directly at Young's ribs. Young immediately fell to the ground in pain and was removed from the matchup. He was replaced by Joey Wiemer. The severity of Young's injury is unknown. The 26-year-old has five homers and 21 RBIs with a .224 batting average this season.
