Cronenworth was struck in the jaw by a 96 mph Yusei Kikuchi fastball in the fifth Saturday, dropped to the dirt, then stayed in San Diego’s scoreless game against the Angels. The two-time All-Star took first after trainers checked his face and jaw. Broadcast noted Cronenworth, a former hockey player, is “a pretty tough kid” still.
