Jalen Williams On His Clutch Performance in Win vs Lakers: “Can’t Take Health for Granted”
Back after a 10-game absence, Williams said, “Can’t take basketball for granted. Can’t take health for granted,” crediting OKC’s staff. Asked about his clutch play to beat Lakers 119-110, he said the Thunder “did a good job moving the ball” and had to “work for possessions.” He added, “just playing hard” and getting “back on defense” flipped the fourth.

Smith said the Lakers’ biggest issue is missed open perimeter looks, not just late-game execution. “No wonder you haven’t seen JJ Redick smile since Thanksgiving,” he said, arguing teams now dare them to shoot because they “miss more open” than contested. He noted they’re 23-0 when leading entering the fourth, but lack consistent 48-minute defense.
