Jerry Jones Backs NFL’s $500,000 Fine Against Cowboys
“This is a serious matter, and it needs to be taken that way by everybody associated at the club,” the Cowboys owner said. The league fined the Cowboys and Saints $500,000 each over reports of six fights between the two teams during the joint practice. In a memo sent to teams in July, the NFL had alerted the teams to avoid “unsportsmanlike conduct.”
