Pegula and Keys ended their seasons at the WTA Finals and, on The Player’s Box podcast, agreed Mboko is 2025’s most improved player. The Canadian rose from outside the top 300 to No.18 with titles in Canada and Hong Kong. Yet WTA’s official shortlist names Tauson, Alexandrova, Noskova, Andreeva and Anisimova instead, with Mboko only up for Newcomer.
