Jets Fire Defensive Coordinator Steve Wilks, Promote Chris Harris

Head coach Aaron Glenn announced Monday that Wilks was relieved of his duties, per Albert Breer. Wilks’ tenure ended after 14 games. During that span, the Jets’ defense ranked 30th in points allowed and recorded zero interceptions through 15 games. Defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator Chris Harris has been promoted to interim defensive coordinator.
