Jets Paying $3.5M for Geno Smith While Covering $8M of Chiefs-Bound Justin Fields
The NY Jets will pay just $3.5 million for starting quarterback Geno Smith after the Las Vegas Raiders agreed to cover $16 million of his $19.5 million salary. Meanwhile, the Jets will also be paying $8 million of Justin Fields’ $11 million deal with Kansas City. Wild!

Richard Sherman Defends 49ers on Brandon Aiyuk Situation
Richard Sherman pushed back on claims the 49ers are “holding Brandon Aiyuk hostage,” arguing the team may actually be protecting his value. Sherman said, “What would Brandon Aiyuk fetch in free agency right now?
