Jimmy Butler Hilariously Rejects 3-and-D Label from Reporter
When a reporter suggested he entered the league as a “3-and-D” player, shorthand for a perimeter defender who spaces the floor with three-point shooting, Butler cut him off mid-question. “I came in as a what?” he asked. “Maybe just defense. Not 3-and-D.” Butler shot 18.2% from 3s in his rookie season, resulting in him promptly rejecting the label.
